The Harrison Group Manufacturing Team has been engaged by a growing AgTech company to help bring on a Chief Financial officer to their team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of accounting and finance operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation, the annual audit process
- Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses, including forecasting and tracking burn rate, and developing contingency measures for managing cash
- Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries, and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company; including cash flow projection and monthly Board reporting packages
- Develop and manage inventory processes, including ordering, minimum inventory balance, and forecasting, to ensure the business can meet demand and minimize excess inventory
- Partner with Chief Revenue Officer & Chief Executive Officer to establish and track revenue goals
- Ensure effective compliance, accounting, and treasury policies are implemented and provide the financial clarity to evaluate future decisions
- Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO; manage investor due diligence and support the fundraising process
- Collaborate across the executive leadership team to ensure the execution of company initiatives and goals

Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in financial leadership positions of increasing responsibility, including team management, preferably in businesses with both hardware and software product lines; strong preference for experience in digital ag, ag retail, or ag chem business
- In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit, and tax compliance
- Experience leading an audit process, managing transactions, and supporting fundraising efforts
- Demonstrated success leading finance for an early-stage company, ensuring day-to-day decisions are made based on accurate data
- Experience leading inventory management – developing and managing processes for ordering, accounting, inventory threshold, and forecasting, as well as cash management
- Comfortable with federal and state tax laws, employment laws, as well as basic accounting issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organization and prioritization skills
