The Harrison Group team of Manufacturing Recruiters is partnering with a Chicagoland manufacturer to help them bring on a Lead Design Engineer to support their growth. Having carved out a niche in their industry, this organization has the opportunity to put a primary focus on new product design and innovation. They also offer a unique and very flexible work schedule, a 4-day work week, and the ability to work remotely for 2 of those days.
This position will be responsible for taking on customers’ orders, preparing drawings and materials, ordering necessary supplies, and developing models for the production team. They will work closely with both the sales and production teams to ensure product specifications meet customers’ needs.
Qualifications:
- 7+ Years of Design Engineering Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Custom Equipment/Large Industrial Equipment Manufacturing Experience
- Strong Communication & Organizational Skills
