What We Provide

Training & Mentorship

In-depth training with an industry expert ensures you have the baseline to hit the ground running. After initial training, you are paired with a seasoned mentor on the HGI team who will guide you and continue your professional development through the life of the internship.

Practical Experience

No busy work to pass the time or check a box, you will gain practical experience making high-level recruiting and business development calls to hone your skills for the real world.

Performance Incentives

In a performance based sales role, you are rewarded for your accomplishments. HGI Interns earn an average of $1,500 in additional compensation through performance incentives during their internships.

The HGI team is filled with people who began as an intern. After graduation you will be fully prepared to begin your career as a recruiter with HGI.

What is Pacesetter?
Pacesetter is an annual award earned by the top ~5% of recruiters throughout the MRINetwork each year. To celebrate their success, Pacesetters earn a week long, all inclusive trip to beautiful locations around the world.

My Internship Experience

I joined HGI as an intern with the goal of gaining practical experience in a sales role. The manufacturing team immediately embraced me and supported me in any way they could, showing me the ropes, offering feedback and advice, and pushing me to be the best. I was equipped with the training and resources I needed to succeed and the office environment kept me excited to be there every day. After experiencing the highs that come with helping someone take the next step forward in their career, it was an easy decision to join HGI as a full-time employee after graduating.

Going into my internship, I was eager to be part of a high-performing team, as a college athlete I thrive in a competitive environment that pushes your limits every day. My internship helped me to improve my communication and conversational skills and find my own voice. The training taught me what questions need to be asked, but the experience of actually being on the phone was vital to finding my own voice and making my conversations with candidates feel natural and consultative. HGI has a really fun culture, but also a demanding culture, you can be incredibly successful here while having lots of fun, but it takes a lot of work day in and day out to be successful.
