Our client is a reputable life insurance company dedicated to providing financial protection and peace of mind to individuals and families. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Claims to oversee their claims operations.

As the Director of Claims, you will be responsible for leading and managing the claims department to ensure efficient and accurate processing of life insurance claims. You will play a key role in upholding the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional service to policyholders during critical moments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize claims processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead a team of claims professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures for claims processing in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as underwriting, customer service, and legal to resolve complex claims issues and improve overall claim management.
  • Analyze claims data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate adjudication of claims while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track departmental performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in life insurance claims management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products, underwriting principles, and claims adjudication processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to life insurance claims.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
