The Harrison Group Financial Services team is partnering with a top-rated Life Insurance company to add a Life Claims Examiner to their team. As part of the Claims Team, the Life Claims Examiner is responsible for handling complex life insurance claims, and adhering to the contract, company policy, and state regulations. They work independently and interact with customers to provide exceptional service that aligns with the company’s mission. Their role is crucial in ensuring seamless service excellence.

Main Duties:

  • Assess and evaluate claims with varying product ranges and complexity
  • Thoroughly review and interpret claim submission documentation, medical records, and investigative materials
  • Effectively communicate claims processing/actions
  • Manage in-process claims caseload efficiently and effectively
  • Authorize payment when appropriate, deny claims, or refer them to senior examiners or legal counsel as needed
  • Provide support to other examiners and leaders with a more complex or substantial claim


  • 4+ years of industry experience as a Claims Examiner, preferably in Life insurance
  • Experience Reviewing & Processing Claims up to $500K
  • Must have experience paying death Claims
  • An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred
