PROJECT EXECUTIVE

Our client, a leading general contractor in the St. Louis area, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Executive to join their dynamic team. The Project Executive will play a key role in business development, project management, and team leadership to drive the success of our client's projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, the design community, and industry organizations to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and lead high-performance teams by providing supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring to project staff.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing departments to support business development efforts and secure new projects.
  • Ensure adherence to ethics and compliance requirements across all projects.
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee decisions, and pricing strategies.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and budget management.
  • Develop and implement master project schedules to guide project execution.
  • Manage project budgets and financial aspects to optimize profitability.
  • Drive the utilization of innovative technologies and initiatives to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
  • Lead and enforce Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols on all projects.
  • Engage with the community and leverage resources to support business unit goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of eighteen years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough understanding of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles.
  • Proven track record in identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
  • Strong market knowledge and effective sales/closing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced presentation skills and ability to interpret complex project documents and schedules.
  • Experience implementing innovative technologies such as Building Information Models (BIM) and Lean practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
