Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Senior General Superintendent to join our client’s team in Boston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of significant projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate trade contractors and subcontractors to maintain high-quality work and meet project timelines.
- Supervise the construction progress of large-scale projects, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Develop and mentor project teams to enhance their skills and performance.
- Manage project budgets for general conditions and site services, ensuring financial efficiency.
- Communicate and document changes in the work plan effectively, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of contract documents to anticipate and address potential challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce quality control policies across all trades.
- Lead contractor meetings, oversee daily reports, and utilize project management tools for documentation.
- Coordinate jobsite logistics and resolve jurisdictional disputes to ensure smooth project execution.
- Establish credibility among stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and trustworthy environment.
Qualifications:
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Over 15 years of experience in a superintendent role on projects ranging from $50 million to $100+ million, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
